Twin Falls, Idaho RV Stopover

We decided to stop in Twin Falls, Idaho for a few nights, because we’d heard there were several cool sites to see there.

The most unique thing about Twin Falls was that it’s the only place you can base jump year round with our a permit. People come from all over the world to jump off the Perrine Bridge, and it’s sooo fun to watch!

We took our inflatable kayaks out on the Snake River and paddled up pretty close to the bridge to watch and it was a great time. We put in at Centennial Park, and on your way down to the park, you’ll pass a super cool waterfall you can see from the road. You can pull over and get out, walk down to it and it’s pretty spectacular. (Insert reel)

You can also watch the base jumpers from up top, and Twin Falls Visitor Center is right by the bridge, so you can learn more about the history of the area and read some cool stats about base jumping. You can even sign up to do a tandem jump with a professional if you’re really adventurous!

If you’re a seasoned paddler, you can paddle upstream all the way to Shoshone Falls. We weren’t up for that type of challenge, so we drove to check out the falls! T

hey’re known as the Niagara of the West and it was easy to see why. They were massive, and tons of water was dumping over the edge. We went at sunset and it was a beautiful time to be there.

We stayed at Twin Falls County Fair RV Park in Filer, Idaho. It had a country feel and there are lots of horse events there. The good part of that is that we got to see some barrel races one evening. The bad part of that is that people would ride their horses around the RV park area and we found large dumps of horse poops around our RV! Gross!

We enjoyed the full hookups there, and the low price. I believe it was $21/night and if you stay 6 nights you get the 7th free. Maybe it was stay 4 nights and get the 5th free… definitely call and ask about pricing!

We enjoyed checking out Twin Falls and would recommend stopping in if you get the chance!
