Seasonal Jobs For RVers

Seasonal jobs are perfect for RVers.

If you can’t find or don’t prefer remote work, there are some pretty cool seasonal jobs you can work at for a bit, make some money, and then keep traveling!

There are some RVers who just hop around from seasonal job to seasonal job, and I wanted to share some of those with you.

Amazon hires about 100k workers for the holidays!

They offer warehouse jobs as well as online jobs. Many workers start off with a temporary job and then are hired on full time. Amazon is also always hiring remote workers and you can check out those openings here.

Alaska Excursions (or Alaska X)

Alaska X is a tour company whose season is April-September and they offer a wide variety of positions for Workampers looking to join their team in Skagway, Alaska for the summer. There are all sorts of positions such as mechanic, adventure guide, dog musher, IT and office worker. You can apply here.

Adventure Companies

Two adventure companies we’ve visited during our travels also offer seasonal jobs in beautiful settings: Nantahala Outdoor Center (Bryson City, NC) and Mild To Wild (Durango, CO and surrounding areas).

Beet Harvests

There are beet harvests each fall in Michigan, the Dakotas, Montana, Oregon and Idaho. The shifts are typically 9-12 hours, and the duties vary. For the lowest paying position, you can expect to make about $2500 for 2 weeks of work. This includes a free site for RVers! If you get a supervisor position, you have the opportunity to work more hours and can make closer to $10k for about 5 or 6 weeks of work.

The Michigan beet harvest has an informative website you can check out here. To hear Aaron’s firsthand experience about his time working the harvest, click here.

(If you apply for the Michigan beet harvest, be sure and put down Aaron Grijalva as your referral, and he will get a bonus for referring you! Thanks!)
