RV Mattress Upgrade

If you’ve ever purchased an RV…

…you know that the mattresses that come with them can be pretty terrible. It’s the first upgrade most people make.

When we bought our RV we just took our mattress from home with us and it was ok… for a bit. It was already old, and with 3 years of RV travel added to its life, we realized it was time for an upgrade.

Why we upgraded Our RV Mattress

One day we had to move our old mattress off the wooden platform and realized that mold was starting to grow on our wooden bed platform! YUCK! Laying a mattress right on top of a slab of plywood with no breathing room is a recipe for disaster when you travel through humid areas like we do.

We did some research and realized we needed to drill holes in the wood to allow airflow to the mattress. We also did some bleach cleaning to get rid of the mold, and tossed the old mattress out.

Our search for a new mattress led us to RVMattress.com by Brooklyn Bedding – a company that custom-crafts mattresses right in Arizona!

We chose the Brooklyn Signature Hybrid.

HERE ARE A FEW REASONS WHY WE LOVE IT:

  • The premium quilted top helps resist body impressions and provides optimal cooling while you sleep.

  • They use TitanFlex™! A hyper-elastic foam that truly contours to your body (check out here for  more info… because our description won’t do it justice).

  • There’s minimal motion transfer between sleep partners, as well as greater edge support along the sides, head and foot of the bed (important for RV life when you have minimal space!).

  • It’s offered in three levels of firmness to let you decide the level of support you need.

  • It was delivered in a box, which easily fit in the RV door and allowed for easy transportation to the bedroom.

  • Comes with a 10-year warranty.

  • Offered with a 120-night risk free trial (this was a huge reason to try it out!).

WE NOW HAVE THE NICEST MATTRESS WE’VE EVER OWNED AND IT FEELS GOOOOOD. REALLY GOOD!

We’re sleeping so soundly knowing our new mattress can breathe, there’s no more mold, and we feel extremely confident in our decision to go with the Brooklyn Signature Hybrid.
