Our Favorite Games For RV Life

We are a game-loving family!
We love card games, board games, outdoor games… we love it all.

Since we live and travel full time in our RV, we have to be selective about what games we travel with. After buying and giving away a fair share of games, we thought we would share our current favorites and hopefully give you some ideas about what to bring along on your next camping trip, or pack with you if you’re a full time RVer like us!

Let’s start with… outdoor games!

Elakai Cornhole Boards

Cornhole

Cornhole is hands down our favorite outdoor game. It’s popular among RVers and campers and it’s a game all four of us enjoy. We typically travel with friends, and it’s not uncommon to play for hours with our buddies and have corn hole tournaments that get pretty competitive!

Elakai makes full sized and travel sized corn hole boards and they have a whole section of National Park themed sets that are gorgeous! Their boards are lightweight and portable with built-in carry handles. Elakai donates 1% of all sales to save the planet, which we think is super cool! Check them out HERE.

Mountain Blocks

Our mountain blocks set is used in many ways by our family. It’s like giant Jenga, but our specific set has a puzzle you have to put together as you build it up, so it’s a puzzle and a game in one!

Our kids use blocks in so many different ways. They also make obstacles and roads with the blocks to play with their cars. Wooden blocks just have so many fun uses and our set even comes with a carrying case/backpack so we can easily take them anywhere.

Next up is… board games!

Monopoly - National Parks Edition

Our number one board game is National Parks Monopoly. We purchased this game while we were in the gift shop at Big Bend National Park.

Since we visit so many National Parks in our travels, it makes playing this version even more fun, as we like to try and acquire our favorite parks when we play!

Chickapig

The most unique board game we have is Chickapig. It is SO much fun.

It’s a strategic game that involves a pooping cow and…chicken pigs? Our family always gets super competitive when we play. It’s best for ages 8 and up, but our daughter started playing at 6.5! She was already playing chess and has a long attention span, so I feel like it would be too much for most 6 year olds, but it is possible for some kids!

Lastly, we have card games.

waterproof card Deck

We carry a deck of waterproof cards with us everywhere we go! This enables us to play games such as Speed, Golf , Thirteen, and Blackjack at breweries, by the pool or even at the beach.

The waterproof ones are super durable and since we’re around water so much, we don’t have to worry about ruining them!

Uno

Uno is a classic card game that we have played and loved for years. Getting a set that comes with the sturdy storage tin is the way to go, since the cardboard boxes tear easily, especially when you take them places all the time like we do!

We also really enjoy Uno Flip.

Games make life more fun, and we hope that this list of our favorites helps you pack for your next camping trip!

What are some of your favorite games? Let us know and maybe it will be our next purchase!
